Welcome to Alphabet City. I am Carlos Chagall, your guide and raconteur.
I am a work in progress, like this page.
Carlos Chagall, just a name.
Chicheme, his alter ego.
Wherever so-called-I go, we go.
We are three, amigo.
Here at Alphabet City you will find poems, prose, and music, about me,
my good friend Sebastien Greco, the loves of our life, then and now, and our times together.
Love to Chloรฉ. First-class on the last flight out.
And to Daphnis, our Muse in the garden.
All materials found here at Alphabet City are ยฉ Carlos Chagall, March 2013

Thank you, Maria. I was just about to have a glass of white wine, and now I will have something to toast. ๐ —–Chagall
Ooo a glass of wine sounds like heaven to my ears right now! ๐ Enjoy ๐
Heehee – my dear uncle Nicola lived on East 10th and Avenue A a long long time ago. My Dad was born in a cold water flat on Broome Place. Welcome to the old neighborhood!
Regards
Wonderful to have you here in the City! —–Chagall
I dream about East 10th and Avenue A – I spent my entire youth practically at the Boys’ Club there across from Tompkins Square Park. Bought many a delicious bagel and bialy there at a store that used to sit where the Avenue A bus terminated its route at Broome and Grand near what was once Seward Park H.S.. Hoping you are well, Toritto. People back then assimilated and became part of the fabric of the country. What’s happened to us? —CC
