The woods were lovely, dark and deep,
And I’ve fulfilled my pledge to keep,
With miles behind me now I sleep,
With miles behind me now I sleep.
With great humility, respect and love for Robert Frost

BRAVO
Thank you. I did Frost’s entire poem in this manner, as if written in retrospect, but decided only to publish the last stanza. In my retrospective, the “little horse” has passed, leaving the rider with the harness bells in hand, and with memories of the warmth once-felt beneath the saddle, and of shared snowfalls across quiet leas in dark night. —CC
