I am cold tall pine
Terns bank away in echelon
God braces mid-air

Haiku for One Earlier Winter

Stars burned bluer then
Breathless joyful morning songs
God today made man

Nothing But a Space-Time Thing

I am exhilarated by early morning and
the promise of timelessness
to experience life’s wonder.

Till evening song
when hours hang heavily and
I shift to the eternity of sky for bearing.

Break Slow

No wind
still arbors
living trees
in repose

Docile shaggy creatures
unwashed but scented
deeply of Mother
breathing

Absorb light
emit air
knee-deep
vernal pools

I am the sound
of the haze that’s risen
each morning heat cast
in winter chill

I am hope
pervasive

The sounds of us in the morning:
gurgles and sighs and small machines.

Good Morning Reverie

When you’re asleep
afterglow on your face
so peculiar, remarkably
lovely

Fleetly Moves The Spirit

chagall backdrop

The bells of the new day joyously ring –
correction, triumphantly rang! – while
cold winds swept the whitest clouds
to the threshold of endless azure
and they and I in echelon bank hard
in a yaw and vertical dive till
ceremoniously, in quiet accord we right
to the ringing bells
