She had a conniption at his addition
Of a fourth dot to the ellipsis
But it’s the end of a sentence he sighed
Oh God, yes she replied
With a moan made in heaven, mellifluous

I enjoyed this…. It made me smile…. It really did…. 😉😊
Thank you so much! I had fun with this one. (By the way, has anyone ever told you that you wield a mean ellipsis?)
No, you’re the first! I do tend to over use them though….comes from always being in a hurry….and it enables me to form run on sentences rather carelessly. 😉 I’ll try to be less mean about it though. 😁
I thought your original comment was a playful send-up of the post. After all, it was the 4 dots that got everything going. Mean how?
Oh, I just got the “mean” reference! 🙂 It was of my own mention.
Sorry for the confusion. I should’ve used more winking emojis. 😉😉😉 I do enjoy your sense of humor. Mine is a little wacky and corny at times. Always smiling with you, Carlos. 😄 You have a caring, gentle soul. ☮️
Thank you so much, Betty. I am feeling likewise of you, that you are caring and attuned. I appreciate your reaching out to clarify. best, CC
Thank YOU, Carlos, for your kindness. Online communication can be difficult sometimes when we can’t see the other’s facial expression, the smile, and the twinkle in their eyes. 🙂 Good thing we have emojis.
How does one become more adept with the comment emoji? I am limited to colon/close-paren 🙂
I’m using the WP app in my cellphone which makes all the emojis available. From my computer I too am limited to colons and parentheses, etc. Due to chronic back pain can’t sit there for long. The phone app has been invaluable helping me be more active here.
Ah! I will need to check that out. Thanks for the tip. So sorry to hear of your back. I have been sleeping on hard floor for a few weeks now for similar. Cord thins to near-naught at one point in its journey down my spine.
That sounds terribly painful. I’m sorry you’re suffering with pain also. Is it hard for you to sit and stand for long too? I’ve got fibromyalgia so need featherbed topper in order to sleep. I don’t suppose that would help you be more comfortable?
I get shooting twinges that are pretty “invigorating.” Lot of tightness and restricted mobility at times. Have a sympathetic pain associated with inguinal nerve. Comes and goes irregularly. The harder the surface the better – alignment is critical.
Had to look that up – does sound very painful. Hope you’re able to find relief at least partially. It doesn’t help us when pain interferes with sleep. (I’ve found acupuncture to give temporary relief in the past. My insurance no longer covers…..) Take care… I wish for you to feel as well as possible.
Thank you, Betty. And certainly the same wishes for wellness for you.
