To have the weekend ahead is simply too much for me to bear:
a deliciously wonderful concept – whole weekends ahead.
I am joyous over the freshness, new and unused time,
a breathtaking canvas to color with handfuls of being;
I am the elf of Saturday Eve.

obviously dear
Preserves all of the light
the reflected scape
that’s passing there before him
To the observer the world
advances as the world
advances towards
the advancing world
The careful eye
caught in the seam
between real and glass
and polished silver
Notes that the man
does not reflect
himself

Long ago but not long from now
till time passes away, we’ll hold and we’ll sway
in our special step;
where did they find so much tinsel?
Beneath a drizzle of ticker-tape mixed with rain,
I think lips taste, well . . .
very nice.
In our race down mountains, I often feared that you’d fall
and I’d tend to you in clearings, healing poultice and wrappings.
At the base of a timeless place, so sheer in its rise that up becomes down
before we know it, and we’ve lost more than merely a glimpse in the knowing.
Promise that we will always let one another
down softly.

Though I have more than I had
as a kid growing up,
I am poorer
now than ever.
It appears
the world
disappears
to leave
harsh seams.
I wonder:
How many lives ago?
My future builds
affixed to itself
sans blueprint
but the past collects
by design.
Despair to look back
to revel in excitement
one once had to look forward.
I sense
a mosaic of sound and color
forms at the edge.
Behind me or ahead
I’m uncertain,
purely as a matter
of principle.
